Craig, Our awesome Scout Leader is taking part in the '2017 Great North Run' to raise much needed funds for the group so we can extend our reach within the local community as well as offer many quality opportunities, trips and activities for our young people.

*Important Information*

​

We will be holding a badge and investiture ceremony evening next week where we will be getting every member up to date on the many badges they have earned over this term and last.

​

We will have a number of games/entertainment throughout the evening as well as a tombola draw (for a small donation) with prizes to be won for all ages.

​

This is a family evening so we'd appreciate as much attendance as possible and please feel free to invite family friends around too!

​

Teas, Coffee's refreshments and cakes will be served with a small donation box and our helper, Peter Hastie is organising a number of carnival style games, most free and for entertainment but one or two may need 10p's and change per play so bring along 10p's if you have them.

​

We will be running the evening from 6pm to 8pm but will of course look at awarding the beavers their badges and such first so they can still get away for 7 and a normal bed time.

​

Full uniform is required for those who have them.

The 2nd Tynemouth are hosting the annual cubs competition and this year it is Curling! We are looking for all Cubs to join us in the hope to lifting the Cubs Trophy!

On Friday 16th December 2016, the 2nd Tynemouths Scouting adventure came to an end with the Cubs making their promise renewal at Tynemouth Priory along with every Scout in the world along with Bear Grylls and Kate Middleton. 

​

2016 has been a year where the group has doubled in their numbers in both leaders and children. This has helped the group start to rise in the world of scouting, we aim to rise even further in 2017!

​

We hope with the continued support from our dedicated parents that we can continue to grow both in scouting and outside of scouting. 

​

Our leaders are already planning the programme for the next 12 months in making this another successful year! 

​

We hope you stick by us during the next year, remember we are trying to make Scouting as fun as possible, even if that means getting things wrong.

​

We hope you have a very merry christmas and a prosperous new year!

​

As a district we are holding our final celebrations of the year at Tynemouth Priory, renewing our promise as district pack. The having an after party with cake and games at a local group HQ.

Event:

Friday 16th December 2016

6:45pm- Meet up at Tynemouth Priory, Front Street. Tynemouth. NE30 4BZ

7:16pm*- Cubs Promise Renewal  *nationally all Cubs will renew our promise at the same time.

Walk to the 6th Tynemouth HQ for our after party.

9:00pm-  Party finishes/pick up at  - 6th Tynemouth Scout HQ, Manor Road. Tynemouth. NE30 4RH

Full Uniform is compulsory. 
However would suggest extra layers under the uniform.

​

This is a FREE event for Cubs. Once numbers have been posted. No more can be added.

​

Please Do Not attempt to pull up/park near the priory as we have been warned about possible parking fines.

Hathi/Katie will be giving out letters and these need returning next week.

This will be fab night to celebrate the Cubs 100th birthday.

​

*****This is a weather dependant event, if the weather turns out horrendous. The event will still go ahead but at the 6th HQ instead. We will keep you as informed as possible.

It costs £3 and will need to complete the form

Please meet at District HQ (31-35 Norfolk St, North Shields NE30 1BD)

The party starts at 2pm and finishes at 4pm.

Please wear uniform or something festive along with the group necker!

The District have recently supported our group with a dedicated fund for markering materials, So we are taking full advantage and getting banners made up, as well as posters and leaflets- Maybe you visited our site after seeing one?!
